2022 Chevy Trailblazer - How To - Driver’s Information Screen and Infotainment System

The Driver’s Information Screen

The setup in this screen is a combination of analogue and digital.  All the gauges are analogue but the middle section is digital, and is about 4” measured diagonally.  The digital information portion has been made very simple.  There are only 3 tabs or main menus you can access, and under each of those there are only a few options to scroll through.  Under the Trip Tab you can access all the basic screens drivers are looking for such as Trio A and B, Fuel Economy, Digital Speedometer etc.  Under the Vehicle Tab you can scroll through a few screens like Tire Pressure, Air Filter Life, Following Distance (in secs), and a screen where you can change units (MPH-KmPH).  In the final tab ECO,  you can access things like fuel economy, energy consumers etc.

So its very simply laid out, very easy to manipulate and control, yet contains all the basic information a driver would want.

Infotainment System

The infotainment system is the latest system 3 from Chevrolet.  It is responsive and is laid out in a traditional manner with a home screen that contains all the apps you can use, and traditional shortcuts at the bottom of the screen.  There are some basic physical buttons below the screen: Home, Skip Backwards/Forwards, Volume/Power, and a Back Button.  The system has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, AM, FM, HD, Sirius XM, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE Wifi Hotspot.  This particular vehicle did not have built in Navigation, but with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you have all the Navigation apps from your phone, top use through the Infotainment screen.

AM, FM, and Sirius XM are all laid out in a familiar way such that, if you learn how to use one of those, you can use all 3 of them as the controls are almost identical.  The only difference is that some of those sources like Sirius XM, have more features and therefore have a few extra buttons, but you tune the radio, save favorites, access the sound settings in the same way across all three sources.

Overall, the System 3 does not disappoint, and delivers everything a driver could want, in an easy to understand and controlled way.
