The Drivers Information Screen
The screen itself is about 6.5" as measured diagonally and is easily controlled by the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. There is plenty of information available to the driver, but what I liked best was the size of the screen, and the ability to select which "pages" you wished to view and not view on the "Home" page. It's always nice to be able to see multiple relevant screens with a simple push of a button, which the Home page allows you to do.
While there is too much information to scroll through as you drive, that customizable Home page is great for just quickly scrolling through information simply by pushing one button. The rest of the settings in this screen would be ones that you would want to go through once and make your settings, and then just leave them alone. Most of the time, once you set those up, there is no need to go back and change them.
Overall I really liked the new design, it's modern, has a large screen, the fonts are easily viewable, and it contains a ton of information. The only thing I did not care for is that as you scroll from Page to Page, the icons are overlaid on top of other dashboard items and at times makes it difficult to see the Page Icon to see what your on. Other than that, is was great.
Infotainment System
The screen is an 8" screen but does contain a large black border around it. There are plenty of physical buttons including Power, Volume, Tune, Skip Forwards/Skip Backwards etc... making it easy to certain tasks. It has AM, FM, Sirius XM, HD Radio, wired Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and Bluetooth, as well as a full screen rearview camera system with dynamic guidelines.
This new system packs all the features you would expect, and lays them out in an intuitive manner, if your familiar with operating a Smart Phone. A couple of the features that I like is that all the Radio's (AM, FM, and Sirius XM) are all laid out in a similar if not almost identical manner which lends itself to being easy to operate, as they all operate the same way. I also like that the Radio Favorites include AM, FM, and Sirius XM, so you don't need to switch to FM (if your in AM) to get FM Favorites.
Another favorite part is in Apple CarPlay where you can use almost any Navigation App (in fact I have yet to find one that does not work) with the system. I also liked how you could listen to any of the Radios (AM, FM, Sirius XM) while running Navigation through Apple CarPlay. I also really liked how you could use Siri (or Google Assistant) via the voice command button on the steering wheel, which means your eyes can stay on the road instead of looking at your phone.
Overall the system was quite responsive, the screen was of decent size, the information laid out in an intuitive way, and in general fairly easy to use.
