2022 Genesis GV70 - How To - Driver’s Information Screen and Infotainment System
The Driver’s Information Screen
Genesis has kept this screen fairly simple in terms of how to access information. On the left is an analog Speedometer and fuel gauge. On the far right is a digital RPM gauge that is also where messages pop up from time to time (gear selection, parking sensors etc…). In the middle of the screen is a digital square that houses the information that the driver can toggle through.
Unlike other vehicles in this category, there are no “Menu’s” to go through. Rather all the available information is on one screen, and you can simply toggle through the available screens with the scrolling thumb dial on the right side of the steering wheel.
One of the outstanding things on this Drivers Information Screen is the quality of the digital RPM gauge, it looks like its analog, but its digital.
The Infotainment System
The screen is 11.4” and is much wider than it is tall. It is a touch screen, but there is a rotary controller down on the center console area that is much easier to use. The reason for this is that although the screen is large, portions of it are quite a reach for the driver and so using the rotary controller was simply easier to do.
The rotary controller works well but takes some getting use to, so plan to spend a little time in the driveway practicing how it works so that while driving your not to distracted while using it.
It does have Apple Car Play, Android Auto, AM, FM, HD, and Sirius XM radio along with bluetooth (Siri and Google assistant passthrough using the voice Command button), and built in Navigation.
The system itself functions pretty much like your phone. You can scroll through a series of apps on the screen, click on the one you want, and then navigation within the app to get what you want.
