2019 Toyota Tundra TRD - How To - Driver’s Information Screen and Infotainment System

2019 Toyota Tundra TRD - How To - Navigation System

The Driver’s Information Screen

The Drivers Information Screen is about a 4.2” digital screen with analog gauges on either side for RPM, Speed, Engine and Coolant Temp, Fuel and Battery.

The middle digital screen is Toyota’s typical interface, straight forward with plenty of information available through the steering wheel controls.

The main categories of available items runs across the top of the screen, while content within each menu displays in the center of the screen.  Available to the driver are “Information”, “Navigation”, “Media”, “Vehicle”, “Messages”, and “Settings”.  Depending on the particular menu, there are several additional screens that can be accessed to reveal additional information.  Under the “Settings Menu”, you can access some of the Safety Features to turn them on or off or adjust them, and in addition you have several other types of settings under this menu such as trailer settings, changing Unit types, and the ability to customize your steering wheel button to function as a shortcut to any particular screen you use often.  This way you can access that one page with just a click of a button, instead of having to dig through menus to find it.

Infotainment

The infotainment screen is 8” and is running the Entire 3.0 software.  It includes AM/FM/HD and Sirius XM Radio, Bluetooth, Wired Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and Navigation.  It is a JBL sound system with 12 speakers.

The system has all the basic apps you would expect such as Radio, Media, Phone, Navigation, A Settings App where you can adjust items such as Safety Features.

One of the nice things about this system is the abundance of physical buttons, one for all the main apps (phone, Nav, Media etc) plus physical volume, power, and tune buttons.

Over all, a very nice system, nothing real flashy, but solid and functional with lots of information available to the driver and passengers.
