2022 Nissan Kicks SR - CarTech Infotainment How To
The Drivers Information Screen
The 2022 Nissan Kicks SR had a surprising amount of good technology built into it. I was surprised to see a 7 inch digital display in the Drivers Information Screen. Thats a good deal larger than its competitors. The screen contained a slither of information while still allowing the safety systems to also be displayed on the right side of the screen. Controlling that screen was a simple task using the four arrow keys, the OK and Back buttons. There are the typical categories of information which can bar found in the icons at the top of the screen, things like RPM gauge, Media, Economy, Messages (Information), and Settings. Under each of those top icons, if you could select more, Nissan has placed dots on the left, with each dot representing a different page of information. Over all, it was quite impressive to see in this small of a car.
The Infotainment Screen
The screen is an 8" screen and has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto (Both a wired connection), AM, FM, (HD Radio as well), Sirius XM, Bluetooth, but no built in Navigation or Wifi-Hotspot. You are able to hook your phone to the car sand use that as a vehicle hotspot if you want. But since you have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can always just use your phones navigation apps right up on the Infotainment screen.
The home screens are customizable and are fairly easy to customize, basically its a click and drag to rearrange things the way you want them.
The system was quite responsive to touch and reacted quickly when buttons were clicked. Overall it is a great system in a car like this, like I said earlier, I was not expecting this much modern tech in such a small vehicle.
