2021 Ram 1500 Limited - CarTech Infotainment and Passengers Screen - How To -https://youtu.be/THOj-vKpVpgThe Driver’s Information Screen
The Driver’s Information Screen is a combination of digital and analogue. The analogue part consists of the RPM and Speedometer gauges as well as the Fuel level and Engine Temp Gauges. The digital part is approximately 7 “ and takes up a major portion of the center screen.
The contents of the digital screen are the typical modern items we’ve come to expect on a Dodge/Jeep brand. You have 9 main menu’s or “Favorites” and you can customize which of those Favorites is visible. Each Favorite or Menu item will display content in the center of the screen. Most Favorite Menus contain multiple pages of additional info. You can think of each Favorite as a category of Information. One Favorite deals with Trip Info, another Deals with Fuel Economy, another allows to you to select digital gauges to add to your analogue ones. In addition to that you can customize each of the 4 corners of the digital screen to display about 6 different pieces of information. You can also customize the Top Center of the screen and the Odometer at the bottom.
Overall, it's a great system, easy to use, with tons of available information.
The Infotainment Screen
The Infotainment Screen is a whopping 12” and is split into 2 main areas, a top and a bottom screen along with a top portion of the screen which houses the Home button along with your clock, outside temp, and inside temp for Driver and passenger. At the very bottom of the screen is Rams customizable app area. Each of the apps down here, except the app button itself, are customizable by going to the Apps button at the bottom, clicking on it and simply clicking and dragging the icons you want down to that area.
The main window of the screen as mentioned above is split into two distinct areas so one can have say media in the top and Navigation at the bottom. You can also swap screens with the simple push of a button and have Navigation on top with Media on the bottom. Along with that, if you want a particular screen to take up the full screen, you can do that as well.
Overall, it is a fantastic system, is very responsive to touch, is very customizable and offers a wealth of information.
