The Drivers Information Screen

The Drivers Information Screen is a combination of analog and digital.  The centrally located speedometer is surrounded on both sides by 4.2” digital screens which you controlled via the buttons on the left and right side of the steering wheel.  The left buttons control the left screen and the right buttons control the right screen.  The screens are divided by the type of information they provide.  The left screen will show you vehicle info and the right side will show you Media, Climate, Phone and Turn-By-Turn Navigation.

The Infotainment System

The Infotainment screen is 8 inches and runs on Sync 3.  This means that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both available via a USB connection.  The sync 3 system was a vast improvement over the MY TOUCH system that came before it.  The system is a much simpler layout with a simplified home screen, with your most often used apps located at the bottom of the screen for easy access.

It has AM/FM/ Sirius XM, Bluetooth, a 4G WiFi Hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (both are a wired connection), Ford Pass Connect, and Navigation and this truck had the 10 speaker B&O sound system which is about 675 Watts coming from the amplifier

Overall it is a good system and will easily placate most any driver.  Being a 20129 version of Sync 3 I noticed that the Voice Command System, especially for Navigation, was vastly improved from the 2017 version.  You could speak naturally and the system would correctly interpret what you had said.
